In fact, right now, there's a whole site revision going on! Check it out at Gottes Wort für heute.

As well, we've been very social! On Facebook, that is.

When we started the Gottes Wort Facebook page, we really thought we were reaching out to Germany. What a surprise to find out that we were actually ministering to Brazil!

About 90% of our fans (well over 11,000 at the time of this writing) live in Brazil. That has brought about some changes in the way we post, including the occasional posting in English and Portuguese, although the predominant language is German.

Together with creating more videos, a weekly newsletter, and more articles for the Gottes Wort website, the Facebook page is THE place to go now for current up-to-date info.

Trips to Germany and elsewhere will be chronicled there as well as other pertinent information.

Therefore, this will be the last posting onto this blog .... with thanks to all who have been following.

Blessings,

The men have been busy ... living the 'normal Christian life' ... which is applying God's Word to every situation ... sharing Jesus ... being practical ... and going where God leads.

Here's a posting that Andy put on his Facebook page:
Already the first week is over ... and what did they do?

Starting from the moment they landed, it's been a time of sharing the Good News of Jesus ... the Saviour, the Deliverer, the Healer. They have had wonderful opportunities to see God working in people's lives, saving them, healing them, and setting them free.

In large gatherings? No. But in the one-on-one meetings with individuals who are desperate for a change in their lives.

The Lord had already prepared the field. Detlef's brother-in-law and his wife (where the men are staying) had already been busy planting seeds prior to our men's arrival. From the moment the men came, the people started to come. Expectant.

Andy took this photo of Detlef photographing from the top of the vineyard hill overlooking the town of Erlenbach ... a town that has again been impacted for the Lord.

Today, the men drove 6 1/2 hours to northern Germany. They are settling in and eager to see what the Lord has prepared for them there.

Mark 16:15-20 is still as true for today as when Jesus first spoke the words,

"Go you into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believes and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believes not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In My name shall they cast our devils ... they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover ... and they went forth and preached every where, and the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following."

It's been so long since I've posted here. Some of you may be wondering if we've done anything since the last posting ...

Well, it's been busy! Nicely busy! Very busy! Productively busy!

There have been trips to Germany and several to Cuba as well.

It's just, well, that I forgot to post here. Oh my. That's going to change.

Right now, I'm in the process of updating the whole Gottes Wort für heute website. We've been adding lots of new material. As well, we started Gottes Wort Facebook and have been adding stuff there as well.

So, what's next. The men, Detlef and Andy (Wolfgang) are heading to Germany in April/May. They are in the process of arranging their itinerary and it's sounding exciting. I'll try to post here what they're doing ... but do follow along on the Facebook page as well.

OK, back to working on the website ... when you check it out, you'll see that there's a whole new look to it.

Blessings,
We, together with some other believers, were at a large rooftop cafe in the beautiful, old city of Freiburg. Overlooking the Black Forest and surrounded by delicious tortes and cappuccinos, we ministered and answered questions. One sister asked and received the Holy Spirit baptism. PTL! Excitedly, we moved to the inside area as it started to rain.

Choosing a table for all of us in the filled cafe, we soon realized we needed more room. The gentleman at the table next to us had been watching. He offered to move his table over for us and go elsewhere. We thanked him and extended the invitation for him to join us.

Over more coffees, his story unfolded. OPPORTUNITY! Right there in the crowded roof-top cafe, he accepted Jesus as his Saviour. He proceeded to pull a small German Gideon New Testament Bible out of his jacket. Some time ago, two women had given him this Bible. He’d been carrying it around, but didn’t know or understand what to do. Opening it, he was shown several scriptures that related to his new standing in Christ. PTL!

Eavesdropping, at the next table, were several women. They, likewise, were invited to join the conversation as we now started ordering our supper. More questions. More answers. More sharing the Good News.

Our original plan for a quick coffee before we continued on our walk through Freiburg ended up being an amazing three hours seeing God work.

Let’s always make our talk worth eavesdropping to!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8604940669620218477.post-55385540244439397052012-08-24T10:46:00.002+02:002012-08-24T10:50:54.446+02:00OpportunitiesLove the teaching we've received at Victory about looking for opportunities.

Many times we can pray that God would open doors for us to minister, but before we know it, it's bedtime. BUT, when we actually look, we find that He really does bring those opportunities.

Yesterday we were ministering at a home where the people were being oppressed by demonic activity, when a relative walked in. She suffered terribly from arthritis. An opportunity! Andy shared his testimony of salvation and the following healing from arthritis. She interjected, "I want that, too!" An opportunity! Unplanned. Taken.

Still a couple of days to take more opportunites, then Sunday Andy's preaching at the Arche in Niebüll. Then it's off to the southern part of Germany for the last part of our trip.

Blessings to you all!
Looking forward to being able to minister to on-lookers at the same time!

Tomorrow, attending the Arche church in Niebüll that's having an open-air meeting in a park with water baptisms as well.

Spent the last couple of days with one-on-ones. Relationship building. Gospel sharing. Word teaching.

Just normal Kingdom living . . . Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8604940669620218477.post-48095656345100315042012-08-15T09:28:00.001+02:002012-08-15T09:28:27.829+02:00Baptism TimeWe’re always amazed at how busy the days and evenings are. The time seems to fly!

Fitting into the culture of the people one ministers to is often an interesting thing. Here, many times it means, “We’d like to talk; come by for dinner.” And so it is. BBQ and talk. Eat and talk. Then, walk and talk. Then come results!

And so, we’re looking forward to the first water baptism of this trip. How blessed we were to hear, last night, that the spouse of the person who wants to be baptized also wants to be baptized! So it starts. Multiplication!

For many, infant baptism is the entrance into “Christianity”. One is baptized as an infant, confirmed, pays the state church taxes (taken right off the pay), and is therefore assured a Christian burial and entrance into heaven! It was no surprise when we were told by Germans, on our first trip, that we needed to go to Africa and minister, because everyone in Germany is a Christian!

However, when the reality of God is preached, and that a personal relationship through accepting Christ is required, and that that is the only way into an eternal life with Him, then questions start being asked. Thankfully when the Word is preached, God confirms His Word with signs and wonders. With so much sickness and oppression around us, it is inevitable that someone needs prayer for healing. Seeing the power of God at work is always an amazing thing. Praise the Lord for His faithfulness!

The Ethiopian eunuch said, “See, here is water, what hinders me to be baptized?” Philip answered, “If you believe with all your heart, you may, ” (Acts 8:36) Likewise, when the people here see that God is really real, that He loves them, and that they need to make a heartfelt decision to invite Christ into their lives, it is with joy that we hear a question similar to the one the eunuch asked. PTL!

Well, it’s Wednesday morning and soon it’s off to another lunch meeting! Looking forward to more good news from the Good News that will be shared. Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8604940669620218477.post-86401173310558050142012-08-09T14:16:00.000+02:002012-08-09T21:04:18.244+02:00Together Again! For the past week, Andy (Wolfgang) and Gerhild were visiting their son and daughter-in-law in Exeter, England. A time of refreshing and reconnecting. On Sunday, worshiped at a lively church on the River Exe -- almost like being at home! Encountered God’s amazing “connections” that only He can bring about.

During that time, Detlef and Heidi were with their family (their children and grandchildren having come from Canada as well) celebrating their Sippenfest (family reunion of over 350 Möllgaards from around the world), in the northern part of Germany. On Sunday, Detlef and Heidi jointly preached the Word at the Arche Church in Niebüll. Topic? Kindgom Living! Their son, Peter, ministered in music. God always confirms His Word with signs following (Mark 16:20) and this Sunday was no exception!

When we finally met up together in Sterdebüll, where we’ve rented apartments for the next month, we had a chance to share with each other the amazing things God has done. Detlef and Heidi shared how the Lord started the work with the landlord’s salvation. From there on, things have just been advancing! We are expectant of many, many more salvations and miracles, all for the glory of God.

Our calendar’s filling up with “get-togethers” and visitations, taking every opportunity where God leads. We’ll keep you up-to-date with what’s taking place.

Continuing to walk in the Kingdom,
Blessings to you all!

Acts 28:31, “Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence . . .”Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8604940669620218477.post-46673414497263331572012-07-23T02:22:00.001+02:002012-07-23T02:22:28.305+02:00Countdown!The countdown is on. Just a few more days and it's off across the "pond". We are so thankful to our families and our church families for their encouraging and uplifting words, both today and in the days past. It truly is a blessing to be part of the Kingdom of God and His family!

We repeat what Paul wrote in Colossians 4:3, "Pray for us, too, that God will give us many opportunities to speak about His mysterious plan concerning Christ."

We thank all who have been and are keeping us in prayer. We sense great urgency and excitement building as we prepare to minister and share "His mysterious plan concerning Christ."
Well, so far the plan includes Erlenbach (in the Frankfurt area), Niebüll, Bordelum and Bredstedt (and surrounding area in the north), and Freiburg (in the southwest, close to the French border.)

Will we be going other places as well? Yes, most definitely! We're still in the planning stages and know that God is leading us to places we haven't been to yet. Looking forward to His direction -- it's always exciting to see the doors He opens!
Opportunities to share Jesus as well as times of stretching were before us. Took a chair-lift to the top of one of the mountains in the Alps and then hiked down to a town in the valley. The serpentine road down the mountains was another experience – our driver didn't use brakes so as not to burn them out, but relied on gearing down. A WOW experience for sure!

Today's our last full day in Germany. Church and visitations are before us. Then it's time to pack and get ready to return to Canada tomorrow. We are really looking forward to seeing our families again. Six weeks away is a long time. We know there's much to do when we get back home. And yet, we are already thinking about our next trip back here.

Isaiah 52:7
How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8604940669620218477.post-29672243734339202812011-05-27T10:34:00.001+02:002011-05-28T13:01:46.659+02:00VideoHere's the promised video. It was taken during our first few days up here in northern Germany. It was a good reminder to take time to reflect (selah) on instructions and do them. A very scriptural principle. You'll notice that sections of the building went up, then down, then up, then down, and then finally up. "Twas a time to practice patience :-) Was also a great time to share the Word - during construction as well as during breaks!
On Sunday, Gerhild preached about "What Name does your God have?". She used Psalm 23 and taught the character traits of God to encourage the people to draw closer to their Shepherd, Jehovah Rohi.

Last night attended our last "house group" at Peter's house (sounds so Biblical). They meet every two weeks and are going through the Gospel of John. Spent quite some time discussing John 17:9-21 and what it means to be "one in the Lord".

This morning Gerhild and Heidi attended a Ladies' Breakfast in the Arche. Topic? God's love and what it should look like in our lives.

Tonight it's off to Horstedt to a "house group" where believers are gathering to hear what the "Canadians" have to share. Looking forward to meeting with these brothers and sisters in the Lord. We met them for the first time last year and were so blessed by their love for God.

The rest of the week is looking exciting as well. How blessed we are to be over here, knowing that God is leading our footsteps.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8604940669620218477.post-71156140940343642132011-05-19T15:57:00.000+02:002011-05-19T15:57:16.567+02:00Strongholds Coming DownWe are reminded, over and over, that it is God's will that the Gospel be preached to all people (Matthew 28 and Mark 16) because God loves the WHOLE world (John 3:16).

Old Testament and New alike.

Ezekiel 18:23, “Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked?” saith the Lord Jehovah, “and not rather that he should return from his way and live?” parallels 2 Peter 3:9, The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

This week is being spent re-establishing relationships, bringing the Gospel message where ever we go. Strongholds in people's lives are being broken. The truth always wins.
Andy preached at the Arche (translated “the Ark”) last Sunday. The message was “Do You Understand What You Are Reading?” with the scripture from Acts 8:30. Psalm 3 uses the word “Sela” to urge the reader to stop and meditate on what was just read. As well, the reminder that God put the five ministry gifts (apostle, prophet, evangelist, teacher, and pastor) in the church to teach and edify for the perfecting of the saints from Ephesians 4:11-12 was used.

This coming Sunday, Gerhild is preaching at the Arche as well. Sermon title: “Welchen Namen hat dein Gott?” ? ? ?

In the meantime, we're enjoying Spring here in northern Germany. The flowers are in full bloom, even though it's quite cool in the evenings.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8604940669620218477.post-82249179472431119982011-05-13T20:22:00.000+02:002011-05-13T20:22:09.442+02:00Settling InAnother week is almost past. Continuing on, following the path where God leads. Attended a home Bible Study, Ladies' Breakfast meeting, visitations, and sharing the Word wherever and whenever possible.

Please continue to pray for Germany. From Campus Crusade for Christ the following quote is a true but sad statement:

"Spiritual Climate of Germany
The Church is widely perceived as irrelevant and marginalized. There is increased open hostility to anything Christian, and the occult and a New Age worldview are on the rise, but German Evangelicals are slowly growing in numbers."

Looking forward to Sunday at the Arche-Nordfriesland where Andy will be ministering.

So thankful that the Lord says in Isaiah 55:11, "So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth : it shall not return unto me void , but it shall accomplish that which I please , and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8604940669620218477.post-18084405158168931492011-05-08T18:25:00.002+02:002011-05-08T18:35:38.794+02:00Another Week Flew ByWe've been up north now for one week. The time sure flies by. Been keeping busy - more with serving and helping - video will follow.

We've been invited to minister the next three Sundays in the same church we spoke in last year. We'll be attending some of their mid-week services as well. Looking forward to this opportunity to share God's Word.

In the meantime, taking the opportunities that God presents, to talk, to minister, to pray, and to encourage those He brings across our paths. We have GOOD news to share.

2 Peter 3:9 "The Lord is not slack concerning His promise . . . not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8604940669620218477.post-27134468940534575652011-05-02T18:41:00.002+02:002011-05-02T19:06:34.865+02:00Up NorthWe've arrived up north after a 7-hour car trip (average cruising speed of 150 KPH - how we love the German Autobahn!)

We were given some CD's to listen to as we traveled. What a blessing they were! We were again reminded of the scriptures written in the previous post. "Do we truly believe?" Because, if we claim to be Christians who believe the Word, we should be doing what Christ told us to do. If we're not doing what Christ told us to do, are we Christians who really believe? Interesting question - - -

What kind of things were we told to do? Some examples are: going into all the world to preach the Gospel, laying hands on the sick, casting out demons, praising continually, praying continually, thanking God continually. Do we?

As we settle into our apartments, we are being encouraged to seek God as never before. All around us we see sickness and apathy for the Word. BUT, God's Word doesn't return void. God's Word is POWERFUL! And, we are here to proclaim the Word, expectant that the Lord will confirm the Word with signs following (Mark 16:20).Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8604940669620218477.post-37231031342020378562011-04-28T12:37:00.004+02:002011-05-13T20:42:21.986+02:00We've ArrivedWe're back and eager to see what God is doing here in Germany.

We arrived Tuesday and were again blessed to have Heidi's brother pick us up in Frankfurt. Blessed again, as we are staying with him and his wife in Erlenbach (about 1 hour east of Frankfurt) for the week and they are also blessing us with a vehicle. God is so good!

The men have just left to do some visitation - God is opening doors for ministry - we just need to let Holy Spirit lead and be willing to follow.

On the weekend, we head up north where we'll be headquartered for the next month.

Was again reminded of the following Scriptures from Acts 10:38 and John 14:12 (Amp):

"God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with strength and ability and power; how He went about doing good and curing all who were harassed and oppressed by the power of the devil, for God was with Him . . . if anyone steadfastly believes in Me, he will himself be able to do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these, because I go to the Father."

The question is: "Do we truly believe this?"Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8604940669620218477.post-91276412650219967042011-04-18T16:24:00.003+02:002011-04-18T16:41:36.034+02:00It's That Time Again! We're in the final stages of getting ready before boarding the plane to start our 2011 Ministry Tour to Germany.

This is the first time the team will be coming in the spring. Usually it's been summer or fall. For some of us, it will be the first time we'll see Germany in the spring since we've been children.

Spring. What a wonderful time of year as we see the re-birth of nature around us. Even with the snow that came unexpectedly yesterday in this cold part of Canada, the buds of the crocuses are starting to show, and soon will be in full bloom.

What a vivid reminder that we, too, have had a rebirth.

It's this rebirth - the need to be born again - that makes us come to Germany - to share this Good News. It's the Great Commission that gives us the direction to GO. To go into all the world.

We are so looking forward to this trip - eagerly and expectantly anticipating what God will do!

As we have sporadic internet access depending on where we are, we will be keeping you up-to-date with what's happening.

Blessings to you all!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8604940669620218477.post-6472320417085611702010-09-02T20:04:00.002+02:002010-09-02T20:16:26.545+02:00Home Again! We arrived safely back in Canada on Thursday, August 26.

We are so thankful to God that He enabled us to minister in Germany. As we look back over the past 2 months, we are awed by the opportunities and doors that were opened to teach, counsel, pray, and minister.

Now as we go through the accumulated mail, dust, and weeds that awaited us at home after our long absence, we are already anticipating our return trip to Germany.

Auf Wiedersehen!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8604940669620218477.post-37723581241680094722010-08-24T14:39:00.002+02:002010-08-24T14:44:18.633+02:00Countdown to HomeRight now as I write, we're cruising down the autobahn at a comfortable 173 kph, starting our return trip to Canada.

We left northern Germany this morning and are on our way to Erlenbach to return our car and get ready for our return on Thursday.

As always, the last few days were (are) really busy. On Sunday, Heidi and Detlef ministered mightly in the Holy Spirit, concluding their testimony and teaching with a dramatic presentation that illustrated the freedom purchased by Jesus for us all. We just need to make the decision to receive it.

Earlier in the week we had the opportunity to minister at a house meeting - 4 hours of ministering and prayer - with a wonderful group of Holy Spirit filled believers. They were encouraged and so were we! A double blessing indeed!

With an outdoor baptism and a special "German Grill" to send us on our way yesterday, we have been truly blessed.

Only two more days in Germany; then it's time to say "Auf Wiedersehen!"Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8604940669620218477.post-87543883856838395942010-08-17T11:56:00.000+02:002010-08-17T12:01:08.703+02:00We can't believe it!Another week has passed. Time is flying! So much is done, and so much more to do.

Every time we come over, the last week is so packed with visitations and meetings that this time we extended our last week into 2 1/2 weeks. We had hoped this would even out the events.

Nope. Sure enough, the last 2 1/2 weeks are as busy as ever.

Andy preached on August 8 in the Arche. The Radical Gospel was the title of his message. And radical it was. It was a Holy Ghost inspired round-trip tour of the Gospel - Repent ye, and believe the Gospel (Mark 1:15)

Last Sunday, August 15, Gerhild preached in the Arche. What are You Anchored to?, based on Hebrews 6:19-20, used an old "rock" anchor to present a visualization of being anchored in heaven. Having a second anchor in the past or present keeps one from drawing close to God; so cut that anchor loose!

Next Sunday, Detlef and Heidi are "team preaching". We are expectant that Holy Ghost will move mightly then as well!

Even though we're looking forward to our own beds and a Tim Horton's, we continue to be amazed at what God is doing here in Germany.

See you all soon!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1
