Looking Back

A BIG 'Amen' and 'Thank You' for all your prayer support. God has been so good to us!

The things God laid on our hearts for this trip, such as making new contacts, encouraging believers, and ministering the baptism of the Holy Spirit, have been accomplished.

God has opened our eyes to demonic activities - suicide, depression, sexual immorality, sickness - that have the people bound. We are determined to go back and set the captives free!

Returning Home!

This is it! We're on our way home, again.

The last weeks just ran away. Every day was filled with meetings, get-togethers, and such.

We also met another congregation with Spirit-filled believers. It was very encouraging to see what God has done in this part of Germany. As they celebrated 'Thanksgiving' already on October 5th, we had the opportunity to give our testimonies as a part of giving 'Thanks' to God for the things He had done in our lives.

Again, in these last weeks God has opened the doors to people's hearts to be ministered to. It was good to see how much our brothers and sisters in the Lord have grown since we've seen them last. It is safe to say that everyone of us has been tremendously encouraged by this visit.

Keeping Busy!!!

Just a quick post to keep you informed.

We've spent the past week continuing in the same way: street ministry and meeting with small groups (both believers and non-believers) to share God's Word.

It is so encouraging to see God moving - signs and wonders do follow the preaching of the Word!

Mar 16:20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following.

Up North (Bordelum)

After having a little hick-up with our car, we left Erlenbach Tuesday morning at 10:30. We arrived safely – and in style – in Bordelum with our 19-year-old Mercedes 560 SEL, which is a very smooth ride.

So far, our days have been filled reconnecting with believers and sharing the Word. This morning, our husbands left to do some street ministry and to hand out tracts. Tonight, they're going to a men's small group to fellowship and build relationships.

Praise God, Detlef's mother has blessed us with a cell phone so that we can be reached, because there is no phone in our apartment. We were and are able to reach people with our laptop via Skype; it's just that they couldn't reach us.

1 Thessalonians 5:11
So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing. (NLT)

Having fun

Today we had the privilege to worship with our host's congregation, “Gemeinschaft Entschiedener Christen” (GEC), in the city of Heilbronn. They are classified as “Freie Kirche” which means “Free Church” and are similar to our charismatic/pentecostal churches. Again, we met a community of born-again believers, filled with the Holy Ghost. We're absolutely thrilled that we can send converts to their church. We also spoke with the Pastor of the congregation. He informed us that Heilbronn lies in the Bible Belt of Germany. This city has four charismatic churches as well as Baptist, Pentecostal, and other denominations. Whereas the 'GEC' sends missionaries to former “East” Germany, we will be heading to northern Germany on Tuesday. Both areas are in great need of the Gospel.

Rom.10:14-15
How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! (KJV)

Well, praise God! He does lead the way! He opened the door for us to minister at a BBQ-outreach, organized by born-again, fire-filled, Polish believers, for their unsaved community. Andy was asked to preach and did so through a Polish interpreter (some guests spoke only Polish). We all had the opportunity to witness to individuals and encourage one another.
Who would have known? Here are Polish born-again believers, living in Germany, who now let their light shine in this country despite the horrors of the last war. Only a God of grace and mercy can do that!

Is.50:4
The Lord God has given me the tongue of disciples, that I may know how to sustain the weary one with a word. He awakens me morning by morning , He awakens my ear to listen as a disciple. (NAS)

Jesaja 50:4

Frankfurt - Erlenbach

Safe arrival in Frankfurt, Germany, on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2009. Praise God! We had a pleasant trip. Our current host, Joe, picked us up at the airport.

Prayers have gone up for people's hearts to be prepared and we know that God is faithful. So far, the men have been ministering to people around here, as well as sharing and encouraging some of the staff of a local nursing home and have been asked to return today.

We are planning to connect with various pastors on this trip which, we believe, will result in a campmeeting in northern Germany. We will meet with our host's pastor this week and then travel to the northern part of Germany (north of Hamburg and just south of Denmark.)

We're looking forward to visit and reconnect with the believers there, as well as their Shepherds. Praise God, He is going ahead of us to prepare the way, to make straight our path for an effective ministry.

While on a hike up the local mountain, had an opportunity to pray for a woman whose leg had not yet properly healed after a skiing accident 9 months ago. She received prayer for healing and is expectant of total recovery.

Isa 52:7 How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that brings good tidings, that publishes peace; that brings good tidings of good, that publishes salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigns!

Leaving in 24 hours!

Today, we celebrated BABC graduation. What an exciting day!
To all our Jubilee family and our Victory family, thank you so much for your kind words, your support, and your prayers. God has richly blessed us with an awesome family and many friends.

We're leaving in 24 hours, full of anticipation of what God is doing and is about to do. Arriving in Frankfurt and going to Erlenbach first. Will keep you posted, but dependent upon internet availability.

Getting Ready to Leave

Spent the last few weeks getting ready for the trip to Germany. Organizing lodging and transportation, but always with the realization that we are ready to change our plans as God directs us.

Have written German Salvation tract. It's at the printers now. Will be ready to go this weekend.
