Home Again!

We arrived safely back in Canada on Thursday, August 26.

We are so thankful to God that He enabled us to minister in Germany. As we look back over the past 2 months, we are awed by the opportunities and doors that were opened to teach, counsel, pray, and minister.

Now as we go through the accumulated mail, dust, and weeds that awaited us at home after our long absence, we are already anticipating our return trip to Germany.

Auf Wiedersehen!

Countdown to Home

Right now as I write, we're cruising down the autobahn at a comfortable 173 kph, starting our return trip to Canada.

We left northern Germany this morning and are on our way to Erlenbach to return our car and get ready for our return on Thursday.

As always, the last few days were (are) really busy. On Sunday, Heidi and Detlef ministered mightly in the Holy Spirit, concluding their testimony and teaching with a dramatic presentation that illustrated the freedom purchased by Jesus for us all. We just need to make the decision to receive it.

Earlier in the week we had the opportunity to minister at a house meeting - 4 hours of ministering and prayer - with a wonderful group of Holy Spirit filled believers. They were encouraged and so were we! A double blessing indeed!

With an outdoor baptism and a special "German Grill" to send us on our way yesterday, we have been truly blessed.

Only two more days in Germany; then it's time to say "Auf Wiedersehen!"

We can't believe it!

Another week has passed. Time is flying! So much is done, and so much more to do.

Every time we come over, the last week is so packed with visitations and meetings that this time we extended our last week into 2 1/2 weeks. We had hoped this would even out the events.

Nope. Sure enough, the last 2 1/2 weeks are as busy as ever.

Andy preached on August 8 in the Arche. The Radical Gospel was the title of his message. And radical it was. It was a Holy Ghost inspired round-trip tour of the Gospel - Repent ye, and believe the Gospel (Mark 1:15)

Last Sunday, August 15, Gerhild preached in the Arche. What are You Anchored to?, based on Hebrews 6:19-20, used an old "rock" anchor to present a visualization of being anchored in heaven. Having a second anchor in the past or present keeps one from drawing close to God; so cut that anchor loose!

Next Sunday, Detlef and Heidi are "team preaching". We are expectant that Holy Ghost will move mightly then as well!

Even though we're looking forward to our own beds and a Tim Horton's, we continue to be amazed at what God is doing here in Germany.

See you all soon!

Another Week!

Wow, time flies. Been busy and seeing things getting busier as we come to the end of this trip.

Again the week was filled with Bible Studies, visitations, and going on the streets. Yesterday we were at a wedding where there were many opportunities to share the Good News.

In between, we've had fun as well. Walking 4 km. through wet sand (barefoot evading crabs, jellyfish, and other sea creatures) following the water as the tide moved out until we reached a Hallig (small island). After an ice cream, walked back to the mainland before the tide turned.

Tomorrow, it's off to the Arche. Andy's preaching and we're expectant that Holy Spirit will move mightly.

1 Cor 2:4-5 And my word and my preaching was not in enticing words of human wisdom, but in proof of the Spirit and of power, that your faith might not be in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

What have we been doing?

Keeping busy!

We use every opportunity available to minister (and make opportunities when possible.)

Whether on the streets, in the stores, in institutions, in parking lots, and even while riding around in a 1951 Mannschaftswagen - wherever people are.

2 Timothy 4:2-3, Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching. For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching.

With Sunday coming up, we'll again be attending the Arche in Niebüll, the church we'll be ministering in starting next Sunday.

Mark 16:17 is true too!

And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils;

Yes, that's right - cast out devils.

We've found out that this area is very heavy into the occult, and have witnessed the devastating power that this has on many people. Sickness abounds and the suicide rate is high.

The Lord opened the door to minister to a severly depressed and suicidal young man in an institution; after casting out demons, he was set free! Praise the Lord! Follow up visit included him being filled with the Holy Spirit. Please keep him in prayer that he will not backslide, but rather continue to grow in Christ.

We are totally blessed to be able to be over here and see God moving so mightly. God is so good!

Our Home away from Home

Our drive up north took a lot longer than planned. The 3 1/2 hour trip took 8 hours - the whole trip was a major traffic jam as Saturday was the start of the summer holidays. We'll remember that for next time!

We are now in Dörpum where we've rented a Ferienwohnung (vacation house). This will be our home for the next 5 weeks.

Yesterday evening, we were invited to a Bible Study - so nice to be together with people who are hungry for God's Word. John 12 was studied with the discussion touching healing, salvation, deliverance, heaven, and hell. A very interesting evening indeed.

John 17:3, And this is life eternal, that they might know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.

Mark 16:20 is still true!

We've left southern Germany and are on our way up north. We've stopped in Minden to visit with some relatives we met three years ago.

Again had the opportunity to minister and see that Mark 16:20, " And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following" is still as true today as it was when it was written. We again witnessed the healing power of Jesus. Praise the Lord!

Today we continue on to our "new" home for the next 6 weeks in Dörpum. We are eagerly anticipating what the Lord will do!

Back in Germany, 2010

We're back in Germany, having arrived in Frankfurt on Tuesday, July 13. Heidi's brother, Joe and his wife, Susanne, have again welcomed us into their home in Erlenbach. They are blessing us with a car for the next 6 weeks! God is so good to us – He truly is our provider – our Jehovah-Jirah. We have a day to relax and get used to the 37° C temperatures.

We'd like to thank our families and our Victory family for their support and prayers. Sunday, with all the prayers and blessings, was such a great send-off – thank you again.

We are also thankful that God has opened to us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ – Col. 4:3.
