We're back and eager to see what God is doing here in Germany.
We arrived Tuesday and were again blessed to have Heidi's brother pick us up in Frankfurt. Blessed again, as we are staying with him and his wife in Erlenbach (about 1 hour east of Frankfurt) for the week and they are also blessing us with a vehicle. God is so good!
The men have just left to do some visitation - God is opening doors for ministry - we just need to let Holy Spirit lead and be willing to follow.
On the weekend, we head up north where we'll be headquartered for the next month.
Was again reminded of the following Scriptures from Acts 10:38 and John 14:12 (Amp):
"God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with strength and ability and power; how He went about doing good and curing all who were harassed and oppressed by the power of the devil, for God was with Him . . . if anyone steadfastly believes in Me, he will himself be able to do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these, because I go to the Father."
The question is: "Do we truly believe this?"

It's That Time Again!
We're in the final stages of getting ready before boarding the plane to start our 2011 Ministry Tour to Germany.
This is the first time the team will be coming in the spring. Usually it's been summer or fall. For some of us, it will be the first time we'll see Germany in the spring since we've been children.
Spring. What a wonderful time of year as we see the re-birth of nature around us. Even with the snow that came unexpectedly yesterday in this cold part of Canada, the buds of the crocuses are starting to show, and soon will be in full bloom.
What a vivid reminder that we, too, have had a rebirth.
It's this rebirth - the need to be born again - that makes us come to Germany - to share this Good News. It's the Great Commission that gives us the direction to GO. To go into all the world.
We are so looking forward to this trip - eagerly and expectantly anticipating what God will do!
As we have sporadic internet access depending on where we are, we will be keeping you up-to-date with what's happening.
Blessings to you all!

Home Again!
We arrived safely back in Canada on Thursday, August 26.
We are so thankful to God that He enabled us to minister in Germany. As we look back over the past 2 months, we are awed by the opportunities and doors that were opened to teach, counsel, pray, and minister.
Now as we go through the accumulated mail, dust, and weeds that awaited us at home after our long absence, we are already anticipating our return trip to Germany.
Auf Wiedersehen!

Countdown to Home
Right now as I write, we're cruising down the autobahn at a comfortable 173 kph, starting our return trip to Canada.
We left northern Germany this morning and are on our way to Erlenbach to return our car and get ready for our return on Thursday.
As always, the last few days were (are) really busy. On Sunday, Heidi and Detlef ministered mightly in the Holy Spirit, concluding their testimony and teaching with a dramatic presentation that illustrated the freedom purchased by Jesus for us all. We just need to make the decision to receive it.
Earlier in the week we had the opportunity to minister at a house meeting - 4 hours of ministering and prayer - with a wonderful group of Holy Spirit filled believers. They were encouraged and so were we! A double blessing indeed!
With an outdoor baptism and a special "German Grill" to send us on our way yesterday, we have been truly blessed.
Only two more days in Germany; then it's time to say "Auf Wiedersehen!"

We can't believe it!
Another week has passed. Time is flying! So much is done, and so much more to do.
Every time we come over, the last week is so packed with visitations and meetings that this time we extended our last week into 2 1/2 weeks. We had hoped this would even out the events.
Nope. Sure enough, the last 2 1/2 weeks are as busy as ever.
Andy preached on August 8 in the Arche. The Radical Gospel was the title of his message. And radical it was. It was a Holy Ghost inspired round-trip tour of the Gospel - Repent ye, and believe the Gospel (Mark 1:15)
Last Sunday, August 15, Gerhild preached in the Arche. What are You Anchored to?, based on Hebrews 6:19-20, used an old "rock" anchor to present a visualization of being anchored in heaven. Having a second anchor in the past or present keeps one from drawing close to God; so cut that anchor loose!
Next Sunday, Detlef and Heidi are "team preaching". We are expectant that Holy Ghost will move mightly then as well!
Even though we're looking forward to our own beds and a Tim Horton's, we continue to be amazed at what God is doing here in Germany.
See you all soon!

Another Week!
Wow, time flies. Been busy and seeing things getting busier as we come to the end of this trip.
Again the week was filled with Bible Studies, visitations, and going on the streets. Yesterday we were at a wedding where there were many opportunities to share the Good News.
In between, we've had fun as well. Walking 4 km. through wet sand (barefoot evading crabs, jellyfish, and other sea creatures) following the water as the tide moved out until we reached a Hallig (small island). After an ice cream, walked back to the mainland before the tide turned.
Tomorrow, it's off to the Arche. Andy's preaching and we're expectant that Holy Spirit will move mightly.
1 Cor 2:4-5 And my word and my preaching was not in enticing words of human wisdom, but in proof of the Spirit and of power, that your faith might not be in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

What have we been doing?
Keeping busy!

We use every opportunity available to minister (and make opportunities when possible.)
Whether on the streets, in the stores, in institutions, in parking lots, and even while riding around in a 1951 Mannschaftswagen - wherever people are.
2 Timothy 4:2-3, Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching. For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching.
With Sunday coming up, we'll again be attending the Arche in Niebüll, the church we'll be ministering in starting next Sunday.
